CessnaPilotBarry
Most of us here have purchased woodworking tools and supplies online. Like most people, I've found a good website makes it easier to quickly find and order exactly what I'm looking for, or search for similar items. However, I prefer old school catalog layouts for browsing. Just last night, I noticed that Lee Valley now offers both options online. I'm not sure how long this has been available, I may be late to the party. I haven't seen this executed this well before, either in form or fast loading function! Compare... The typical online style: http://www.leevalley.com/US/Wood/Index.aspx "Online Catalog" style: http://www.leevalley.com/US/home/OnlineCatalog.aspx?id=5f67a36d I hope more online retailers offer both styles of presentation. bobcrosley
That's what I get for trying to do a quoted reply from my phone... That's really cool. The Lee Valley catalog is a thing of beauty and nice to have the option to browse it virtually. Have to try it on the iPad. Bet it looks great. I think Grizzly also let's you view the relevant catalog pages for any item you are looking at. I'd love it if they'd let us download the full catalog in an ebook format so we could keep an electronic form around easily.
Dave
I've never seen that before either. That will work great when you have a gift card in your hands. When I order a specific item I like to look around to see if there is anything else I "need". Hunting and pecking at the headers usually made me order the one item I intended to get and checkout. This could be a nice time waster at work too.
Tom Crawford
Agree, very well done and it offers a 'button to download as a PDF for off line use - when in shop without internet access.
