The Wolverine set up

I have a 6" grinder ( until I can get a 8")

 

The set up calls for the center of the wheel to be 6 1/4 to 6/12 from the base of the Wolverine's bade, and I did this. This makes my

Platform Assembly below center of the wheel.

 

Don't I want it to be at center?............  with the Platform Assembly

 

 

 

Is this 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 just a set-up start?

I setup according to the directions and this is the result. I suppose the table is slightly below the center of the wheel but I never grind with the rest level, it is at an angle to the wheel to grind an edge on the tool I am working with. This is an 8 inch slow speed grinder.

 

You are going to love the setup, it works great.

I would think you would want it slightly below middle as most of your tools have enough thickness to them so that they will reach the middle, or just above on their own.
