Jens Olson
This last week my shop has looked a lot like christmas. I make about 50 of these little christmas ornaments. They are pretty simple but a nice quick project on the CNC. I also enjoyed the spectacle of seeing a huge CNC cut little tiny ornaments. As for methods of work I used two bits, first is a 90degree vbit and the second a small carving bit. I use a spray on shellac for the finish. Photos where too large but I have more here: https://olsonswoodworks.com/store/christmas-ornaments
mar10
Hi Jens My wife asked me to make a few Christmas ornaments for her Sunday school class. The idea was to make something the kids could decorate themselves. I used a .375 90deg V-bit @ 12,500 rpm 2.5 IPM for the inside lines , and a .125 end mill for the cut out. 10 down 60 to go.
