Bobby Slack
This is all Marc's fault. (I am not taking the blame ). My life was simple using power tools and Marc had to show in an episode of building a chest how a hand tool helped him tune the groove perfect ... so I invested in my first plane ... and then got more ... a Bench Rabbet Plane, a block rabbet plane, a block plane, a medium shoulder plane, a jointer plane, a smoothing plane, a rasp, a set of small rabbet planes that Meagan posted on the Popular Woodworking blog (from Lee Valley), a butt mortise plane, scraper card, about 6 chisels, flush trim saw ... And after all of this investment I still feel like my hand tool station is not enough. My wish list. Jack/Fore Dove Tail Saw Router Plane Chisel Plane I guess I am getting closer but I am more and more intrigued by these hand tools that allow for a perfect fit. jgfore
If I do not build a project for my wife before I purchase anything else, I will have to spend a lot of money on a new place to live......alone! I love the list though. I wish I had them. Jeff
PaulMarcel
I guess that's one big advantage of picking up hand tools on eBay or CL: they look used. Put it in the back of a shelf and in 3 months when she notices it, "oh that old thing; I've had that forever".
