chrisK
Has anyone heard of the machinery brand "Palngren"? Someone wants to sell an 18"-36" drum sander for under $600 and I don't know if I should jump on it. Any info on it would be greatly appreciated. Bobby Slack
Never heard of it. Remember if the support is not there when it breaks down, you will be sorry two years down the road.
woodhack
Wow, that name takes me back to Jr. High metal shop. Our metal shop was totally equipped with Palmgren tools and they were outstanding. I checked their website and they are still in business but they still look like their main focus is metal-working tools. maybe they are now getting into woodworking or they are getting out of it which would explain the price for this drum sander. I would do a little homework and proceed with caution.
lwllms
I see a lot of Palmgren metal working stuff in catalogs. It's primarily import stuff. I don't know if they actually make anything anymore of if they just buy what's available on the import market. They seem to have a decent reputation in the metal working end of things.
