Guest
I have some cypress that I plan to use for a square table and chairs for outdoors on the patio. Curious about the design of the top. Didn't want to go solid, wanted something that would let the rain water go through. Slats seems to simple. Would solid hold up? Thanks. ztifpatrick
Unless your going to be very paticular about sealing it now and forever, I would go with "slats" or a 1/4" space between narrowish boards, 2 - 3"? I have not used cypress outdoors. I know the Big Green Egg people make their BBQ table from it, but I was wary and built my own from cedar. JimBroderick
You know something I allows liked was the floor on my sail boat. Its made of teak but cyprus would be nice and with the square holes it would let the water go right through. you make it by dadoing out strips and assembling chis cross. This is a link to what it looks like. My link
