Popular Post phinds
I just go the following question in a PM: The amount of work you have put into that site is amazing. I'm curious though, as to why there is no "20 questions" style algorithm to help identify the wood. Example, first question would split the woods into roughly 2 equal sized groups, then a second question would split each group into 2 more smaller groups each, and so forth. Eventually you would be left with only a couple choices of possible answers. Here is my reply I have already DONE that. I have pages on ring porous, diffuse porous, and semi-ring porous and within those I break it down considerably further. Follow ALL of the links starting on the main page -> wood ID through anatomy -> growth rings -> DOZENS OF PAGES. I would also add, as I believe I have already posted on this forum some time back, that if you get serious about wood ID, a good place to start is with the following link and then follow THOSE links, etc: http://woodbarter.com/threads/wood-anatomy-an-introduction.18349/
