Definitely makes me think it was more user error and blade choice rather than the machine itself now. I'll order some new blades soon and see how it goes. MattF Posted February 13, 2017 Report Share Posted February 13, 2017 I have the same saw and would buy a jointer before upgrading to something in that price range. Tip for the fence: I found that if it takes to much force to lock into place it will skew a tad. I have mine set where it will lock into place with minimum force, yet tight enough to avoid any deflection under normal use. I also apply a little forward pressure on the fence as I am locking it down.
