Chelsea Tully
So i'm just setting up my first shop ever. So total newb. My shop is small and only temporary, so I didn't want to spend a lot of $$ rewiring the entire shop. It was all on one 15 amp breaker, which obviously was a problem. The most cost-effective re-wiring resulted in- I now have 2 -15 amp breakers and one 20 amp breaker. In an ideal world I would plug the dust collector directly into my tablesaw so that they are linked and turn on and off automatically with the saw. But since it would blow the breaker they have to be separated and I have to walk over to the dust collector turn it on, turn the saw on etc. Then repeat 20 million times. Does anyone have any wisdom here. My only solution was maybe plugging a powerbar into the dust collection so I could just switch it on and off right at the saw...but there must be a better way? Also where have people bought their dust collection hose? Thank-you in advance! Cheers
Jfitz
I use this remote control for the DC. https://www.amazon.com/PSI-Woodworking-LR110-3-110-Volt-Collector/dp/B00004S9AI But there are several out there. As for the DC hose....most of my DC system is piped, with this: http://www.homedepot.com/p/4-in-x-10-ft-Triplewall-Pipe-Solid-4550010/100135310 I use flex hose for the short runs that came with a Delta dust collection 'kit'. Chet
I have the same remote as Jfitz and I am pretty happy with it. The receiver for mine sets on the floor behind the dust collector completely hidden and works fine. You don't need a clear line of sit to make it work. Oh, and welcome to the forums Chelsea! I have gotten most of my flex hose from Woodcraft.
