Majority is big leaf maple and some hickory. Thank you so much to the local wood worker for the scraps extra scraps. I think I have a good variety of woods now (some still unidentified) should help me learn the feel at least a little. Definitely better than cheap Pine would be for practicing. And the live edge piece I will probably end up using for my carrying tray for my "medicine" so I stop breaking my glass. Plus I need a tray for it. Thank you for the wonderful ideas everyone!
