Nick2cd
I have a Ridgid 13" TP1300LS thickness planer. i recently flipped the knives to the new cutting edge. i didn't make any kind of micro adjustments to knife height the way i would my jointer knives. i just put the knife in until it bottomed out and tightened the bolts. my manual makes no mention of any better or more precise way to do it. is this the correct way to do it? Sac
I think that most of the newer planers are going to the knives that have the index pins on them. If you put them in and run a test piece through, and it looks OK, then I wouldn't worry about it.
Nick2cd
i spoke with ridgid today and they said, "just drop em' in and torque em' down". easy enough for me! one less thing to worry about.
