msadkin
I have been thinking of making a router table and using laminate over MDF. I know of a place I can pick up some laminate at a good price. the kind of laminate is smooth, but with a satin not glossy finish. Any thoughts if this is acceptable for what I want it for?. I'm concerned if it will be slippery enough for wood to slide easily on. I don't know if laminate can be waxed for smoother sliding. Maybe i'm just over thinking this, but any input would be appreciated. Thanks. Mike

Ben H
Just finished my new router table last week. I used standard Wilsonart satin black. It's fine. You can wax it if you like, but I have no problems sliding wood across it.
