kawman Posted July 7, 2024 Report Posted July 7, 2024 I just purchased a used Powermatic 60 HH 8" Jointer and was wondering if anyone knew how to adjust the non-more insert located on the fence as mine is not flush with the fence and will snag the boards as I am running them through. Quote
Von Posted July 8, 2024 Report Posted July 8, 2024 No idea, but Google turns up a manual readily: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/d7/d766594b-1756-4068-8e30-836990f36342.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjyn-XPxZeHAxWpFjQIHaSYALwQFnoECA8QAQ&usg=AOvVaw2DzauMgGdEREZi6F52AniZ Quote

But unless you are maxing out the width of what you are face jointing all you need to do is move you stock just a smidge the other way to miss it. If you are catching it when you are edge jointing then you need to make another pass on the face to get it flat so it while be flush with the fence. Quote
kawman Posted July 8, 2024 Author Report Posted July 8, 2024 Yup that's what I've been doing, I didn't know if there was a way to adjust it, thanks for your response! Quote
