Popular Post Mark J Posted January 20 Popular Post Report Posted January 20 I know we have several forum members in Minnesota (though not necessarily near S. Paul). For those nearby or even not so near who may be interested, this year's American Association of Woodturners Symposium is being held in St. Paul, MN. The dates are June 12-15 (well, really 13-15, there's not much happening on the 12th). Here is a link if you want more information about the symposium: https://www.aawsymposium.org/?utm_medium=web&utm_source=woodturner_org&utm_campaign=2025symposium&utm_content=registration If you are not so interested in seeing the demonstrations, there is free admission to the gallery and the tradeshow. Scroll down the page to the bottom of the middle column of blue boxes and click "learn more". https://www.aawsymposium.org/register Next year will be in Raleigh, NC. 4 Quote
JohnG Posted January 20 Report Posted January 20 Do you have a piece on display this year? Maybe I’ll make it over to Raleigh next year. Quote

Yes, I will have 3 or 4. I am working on a new one. Unfortunately I missed the deadline for submission to the POP exhibition and auction, but I hope to have it complete in time to submit to the jury for the Member's Exhibition. If selected it will be in a special area of the Gallery set aside for the exhibition. But even if it is not selected I will display it in my space in the Instant Gallery, along with a couple of older pieces. Also I have a piece I collaborated on with another artist. Hoping to get that entered into the Member's Exhibition, as well. At this point I'm planning to attend the Raleigh symposium, too. 3 Quote
