ToddGerringer
I built a pair of corn hole boards last year and once I had them sanded I painted them with a bright white water based paint with a orange trim around the outside. These boards are just a BC plywood with a 2x4 base. I used them last year for the football season (in and out each saturday not left out in the weather) and when I went to put them back I noticed that the bright white paint that I covered with min-wax poly had turned a shade of yellow. Does anyone have an idea of what I can use to coat the boards so the bags will still slide and that will protect the paint? Oh and that won't turn yellow? P.S. What would be the best way to remove the poly with removing that paint?
bazzzman
Guessing you used polyurethane..I have always used polycrylic on my boards and there is no yellowing at all. I usually will apply 3 to 5 coats of it, lightly sanding between coats.
ToddGerringer
cardsfan thanks for the help I'll start stripping the old polyurethane off and reapply with polycrylic.
