jwatson
my roughing gouge is a Benjamin's best which is a penn state industries house brand. its actually pretty good. one difference in it and other brands will probably be the type of steel. they are High speed steel which is just fine for turning but may require sharpening more than the more expensive brands because they use cryogenic steel. im strictly a hobbyist so i will probably be buying more including a bowl gouge soon.
