duckkisser
we have a 1 hp dust collector and i was wondering if we can put two dust collectors on the same line that goes into a 55 gallon drum? so we would have two seperate 1hp units rather then spend thousands on a large unit. Beechwood Chip
Do you mean, two input ducts going into two blowers going into two filters going into one drum? That should be fine. You might want to put in a backdraft damper so if you turn one blower off the air doesn't go out through the blower. I don't know if that would be a problem or not. If you only have one filter, then if you run the two blowers at the same time you'll be limited by the filter.
dwacker
Not unless you increase the port size. The port will only flow so much. Don
duckkisser
hmmm sounds more difficult then i thought was going to have two dust collector hoses conected with a "Y" joint and have it sucking at the single hose that goes into our 55 gal drum. hardly any dust goes into our dustcollector itself just the realy light stuff.
