rodger.
Anybody try this finish? I was thinking about using it for a wooden counter top. It is food safe, but have never used it. http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=45105&cat=1,190,42942
Derwood
I haven't but I like what I saw and even better is the MITUSA factor. Will try it soon and add to the post. Thanks for the link!
thewoodwhisperer
Just used it on my workbench. For food-contact items, I think it has some real potential. But I don't think i will ever use it on a piece of furniture.

rodger.
Which of the three are you talking about? Blessings. Well, I'm open to all 3 actually. I do prefer a Satin finish though. I'd love to hear your opinion or comments on all 3 if you are willing to share.
HoboMonk
All three are expensive and you are not likely to see a difference in the results. Blessings.
thewoodwhisperer
Why not on furniture? Primarily because it wasn't fun to work with and the results reminded me of using something as simple as boiled linseed oil from Home Depot. The dry time is really no different than BLO and to build up any sort of protection, it would require many coats. I personally find that impractical, especially considering how thin you have to apply it. I just don't have 2-3 weeks to spend on the finishing process these days. The stuff I used was their Varnish Oil.
