Erik Joven
Hi all - First I'll just say I'm very happy this community exists - seems like a great group of folks and just the prospect of having a community to share knowledge and experience really excites me. Just really starting to get into some woodworking, though it has been an interest of mine my whole life. My father was/is the greatest handiman I know. Nothing was ever thrown away in our house, just taken apart and fixed or "re-engineered". So I come into this community as just a general DIYer, having learned most of what I know from my Dad. My goal is to try and take woodworking more seriously. Don't have much of a "shop", just a garage with a ruddy old tablesaw and lots of handtools twice, even 3 times my age . Obviously as my skills progress and the complexity of projects I undertake increases, I will make additions to my toolset as budget/space allow. Anyways - excited to be here and hope I am able to learn and contribute! -Erik

Erik Joven
Ah great Potato perhaps you would be the one to talk to regarding good hardwood dealers on the island. Searched around a bit but didnt find anything super appealing. I'm in the western Nassue area but spend a good deal of time all over the island.
