People will follow you on Instagram just because... My wife has an Instagram and she has 200 followers, she never post anything. When people like your Instagram posts or click on it, then other will see it too and the posts can be linked back to your website, Facebook page, or etsy account. But I have had many other artists and craftspeople tell me that it alone boosted their exposure more than any other single social media outlet. I'm currently working for a startup called needls.com, which is a new lead generation tool that scours Twitter and Facebook to deliver real time leads to small business owners, entrepreneurs and independent professionals. We plan to expand to other social networks and your feedback makes me think Instagram would be a good one. You define your list of targeted keywords (industry related) and needls finds you leads based on your specified geographic area.
