That hold-down jig thingie

I ended up parting with that Craftsman hold-down jig I'd picked up ... like this one.

Then today when looking around CL I see someone found an application for it.

Not sure about that picture. The spring arms hold the wood down to the table and back to the fence. Usually one set before the cutter head and one set after, so they should all be pointing in one direction. Right to left feed for a shaper or router table.
