Andrew Pritchard
Making up a tenoning jig today. I kept needing my combination square for other things. The rafter square's kinda handy for somethings, but mostly sits on a shelf. Until today when I was having trouble getting this jig square whilst the glue dries. Freddie
You can easily duplicate this method by cutting small mdf or ply in the shape of a rafter square and drill a hole to accept the clamp. You can make as many as you want and its darn cheap.
wdwerker
I have a 12" speed square that is handy for uses like that.
CessnaPilotBarry
Along with the two good ideas above, plastic drafting squares are cheap and accurate, and are available in a wide range of sizes.. Even my large 18" x 18" 45-90-45 was less than $15 @ Dick Blick.
Andrew Pritchard
This one is aluminium and I think I got it for $7.99 CAD. Also the ideas above are good too.
