I was hoping for something that would give me plans talk about how to use some of that software, tips ect......just don't want to buy 10 books and 9 of them rehash the same plans and same advice.  there has been a few books that I have picked up and kept because they supply so much great information.

Gotcha.  I'm more of pencil/paper guy when it comes to project design & I naturally think in patterns/numbers.  Wish I could be of more help.  I did look at this software once: http://www.segmentedturning.com/software.htm  Never tried it, but it does have a 30 day free trial.  Personally I like the layout but I'd rather just do it on paper & keep those skills sharp.

ok i got this book.  first glance looks realy nice.  has basic tool use, glue recomendations,  equipment, blade recomendations, software, early mistakes, jigs, ect.... thats only the first 77 pages after that there is 100 pages of detailed project guides with sizes, angles, thicknesses ect.....  plus his web site has further downloads.  this looks like a realy good book.
