wintersedge
I recently acquired a used Delta x5 14" bandsaw. The bandsaw tires were gnarly so I replaced them with urethane tires from Carter. However, I do not think the generic 14" urethane tires will work my wheels. The urethane is 3/32 thick and it looks like they need to be twice that thickness. I would appreciate any advice on this. The trash man already came and the packaging for the urethane tires is gone so there is no exchanging them now. Is it worth putting a second urethane tire on top of the current one or should I look for thicker rubber tires? The original Delta tires are backordered and given the current state of Delta I doubt there will be new stock items. Thanks
woodieboy
I don't think your urethane tire would fit or run right on your saw. There's a rubber tire from bandsawparts dot com . Make a search on their site " Rubber Tire 14" x 1 1/16 " . The tire is 1 1/16 wide by 5/32" thick ; but I'm not sure if that would right fit on your saw.
