Mike Corwin
Bought this for my Festool Kapex and didn't realize that I ordered the wrong arbor size, so this has never been used. Still in the shipping box. $100, will ship to lower 48 US. Thanks!
Trip
Call Jim, I'm almost certain he's swap the blades for you... Very customer-focused company. 1-800-733-7111 https://www.forrestblades.com/ BTW: I've got the CM/Sig for the Kapex -- well recommended...
Mike Corwin
Hi - Yes, I spoke to Jim. He said he could re-bore the blade, but it still wouldn't be the 260mm that is found on the Kapex specific blade. Trading it in wasn't an option since I didn't buy directly from Forrest. Trip
==> I didn't buy directly from Forrest. bummer... 10" 5/8 -- I think the Hitachi uses that, but don't know who else... Worst case, you could re-bore the blade and live with the 3/16 -- not the end of the world.
Mike Corwin
Just bought the Kapex Blade from Forrest plus have a new zero-clearance insert ready for it!
Trip
==>Kapex Blade from Forrest I'm using that at the moment. Is it a better cut then the FT? Not really -- maybe a smidge. Where it will pay is in the number of resharpenings... The carbide is clearly thicker. Now the Signature series is a different animal... The cuts are like glass. But at the price, Jim should supply a shop slave to work the saw... He threw-in some sharpening coupons with the blade... At 90T, it'll probably save me about $60 in sharpenings...
