jmaichel
I am finally on my to doing some woodworking. I figured since I enrolled in Shannon Rogers hand tool school that I am going to need some hand tools. I just got my box from Lee Valley. I bought 2 Veritas carcass saws (12 TPI rip/14 TPI crosscut), 2 PAX Panel saws (5 TPI rip/10 TPI xcut) and a Veritas marking wheel with micro adjuster. The carcass saws from Veritas seemed like a great deal $100 for the pair vice 59 a piece. The PAX panel saws were $89 a piece a pretty good deal also I thought. I am new to the world of hand tools and not qualified to give any kind of review but they look nice and Shannon Rogers is the one who recommended these saws to me. I imagine that at some point I am going to need a bigger tenon but for these should work out fine. Next up hand planes. Thanks again Shannon for the help.
