benny27
I have been looking at maybe upgrading from a 4 in 1 resp to some thing better but $100 is over my budget. lee valley has Hand-Cut Rasps with the plastic handles for $25-$35 http://www.leevalley.com/US/wood/page.aspx?p=20133&cat=1,42524 I have not been able to find anything about them. Or I was looking a the Narex that go for $25 on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Narex-Half-Round-Cabinetmaker-872572/dp/B00WH7PBXK/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1463699127&sr=8-13&keywords=rasp
gee-dub
I have one of the Grobet's in my arsenal and have found it very user friendly. Although not horribly sexy looking, I also make a lot of use of a long Shinto when doing Maloof-like sculpted forms. It would be a cheap place to start and you may be surprised at how versatile it is.
