Fastion0812
Hi everyone. I'm sorry if this has been asked. I looked through but didn't see anything. I have a grizzly lathe and I cant get the shaft for the belt change to come out. Is there a trick to getting that shaft to slide out to change the belt? My other question is. IS there a lathe that changing The belt is easy to do? I have only been turning a few months. I really enjoyed it. Made about 25 pens, ring holders, foot messagers and things before the belt broke. Its my fault I think I didn't have the belt tensioned right at the start. Have found out how to do it right but Can't change the belt now and Don't believe it should be this complicated to do? Thank you for any help Yall can give.

Fastion0812
T25926 Is the model number. I had to use a hub puller to remove the shaft and get it back in and the inner bearing is sliding inside the unit and throwing off alignment now. Don't no how to fix that. Looking for a new better lathe now. One that can change a belt in under 2 days would be nice. lol
Tpt life
The manual is on the grizzly website. It looks very straightforward. Did you follow those directions? http://cdn0.grizzly.com/manuals/t25926_m.pdf
Fastion0812
Yep. And called tec support and went through it with them. The guy just said to spray penetrating lube and get a bigger hammer. And that it shouldn't be that hard to do.
