slmolloy@charter.net
hi all, I need to build two closets full of cabinets and shelves. I need to decide whether i should just you pocket screws or is this a good reason (excuse) to buy the festool domino. What would you choose? stephen
TBaiga
questions: 1. face frames or frameless 2. built-in or free standing (can you see the sides/back of the cabinets) 3. hardwood, plywood or composite i can see why someone would go for pocket holes alone to save the grand on the domino and accessories, but if you what to use the domino, why not just spend the extra $100 bucks for the Kreg jig and use both? dominos for in plain view joints and pocket holes for areas only you know about. see http://www.burrellcustomcarpentry.com/subpage43.html or FOG (festoolownersgroup.com

iSawitFirst
I can easily envision a closet system without using Dominos but, since I'm a Domino owner, my advise is to look for ANY reason to buy one. You'll find thousands of uses for it.
