But the thought of people tracking dog poop and bird crap is just too much. I don't let people spit on my floors, I don't see how wearing shoes is any different. I once lived across the street from an Asian couple who were very traditional. They had "guest slippers" that you were supposed to put on when walking in their home. Honestly my biggest problem with shoes in the house is my wife walking around in the morning in high heels. It's a horrible sound. The wood floor equivalent of throwing acid in someone's face.
