dvan1901
This is a quick project I recently finished. It is cherry with a tiger maple drawer front. The finish is Tung Oil Finish and wiped on shellac, buffed out with 0000 steel wool and paste wax.
mikepdarr
What a nice table. Very pleasing to the eye. The cherry and maple look so good together. Looks to me like you need one more. Are the tapers on the inside or out?
dvan1901
Thanks MikeD...they are only tapered on the inside.
A_Vitale
I love the wood selection...very well done!
kpetten
I think your table looks great. I like the way you matched the top, and love the maple drawer front. Though, I wonder what the table top would look like with a under bevel.
dvan1901
kpetten, I really wanted to do an under bevel, but talked myself out of it. Next time, I will be doing the under bevel for sure...
Rick LoDico
Sleek. Very nice.
JayWC
I still can't get used to the Shaker tops. To me they look like (and this is not a shot at the craftsman who posted the pic here...it's a commentary on the style) an aircraft carrier flight deck. The top just overpowers the rest of the table. Maybe the underbevel that was previously mentioned would help to lighten the heavy horizontal plane that is the top of the table... The craftsmanship looks nice. My $.02.
