ben_r_ Posted March 1, 2018 Report Share Posted March 1, 2018 LINK Anyone pick one of these up? I got the 6" Marking Gauge as I wanted to compare it to my Jessem Wood Sabre Marking Gauge (LINK). So far I really like the pencil function as a marker but I dont like that when tightening down the thumb screw the center rod seems to move no a slight amount no matter how I hold it or tighten the screw. That affects "repeatability". The Jessem is dead accurate and very repeatable with its notched measurements and micrometer adjustment method. Fantastic tool. Yea I REALLY like the Jessem. I will probably end up selling the Woodpeckers after Ive given it some more time in the shop.
