Mark J
Anyone have any first hand experience (or second or third) with this pre-separator for the CT 26? I'd like to know if it works as advertised. https://www.festoolusa.com/products/dust-extraction/pre-separator/204083---ct-va-20#Overview Cleaning up wood shavings after turning can fill a bag pretty quickly. I know Oneida made a cyclone for the Festools, but I'd probably go with the Festool. Another alternative would be to get a cyclone for my shop vac. pkinneb
I have the Oneida Systainer cyclone and it works great and a touch cheaper at $299. I do like the clear bucket of the Festool one, Marks issue seemed to have more to do with using it as CT26 as vac which I never do I only use it for Festool tools so not sure his issues would sway my purchase but worth watching his 6 min video on it for sure 1
Mark J
I'd forgotten about that review that Marc did: https://thewoodwhisperer.com/videos/festool-ct-cyclone-review/ Looking through the comments I was directed to this Instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/BpLESSFF6jR/ If you don't have Instagram access he filmed trying to vacuum up shavings with and without the separator on his festool and it was pretty sad. Guess I'll wait for an improved version or go with a cyclone.
