BillyJack
I’ve never needed one and focused more on projects than shop, but I’ve been sitting on many different kinds of material and have furniture projects that might be beneficial to:making one.I’ve been looking at mak8jgba plant stand with Boo ply , but have enough to make a nice table saw sled as well. I also have some metal track left from a trophy case from my commercial days.. Not looking to buy a lot to build this , but interested in idea on poor man budget shop builds.. BillyJack
Piece I have is 21”x56” should be enough for two sleds..
wtnhighlander
I made a miter sled for cutting crown molding once. It had adjustable front fences to hold the crown at the correct spring angle. Worked well when I first made it, but even plywood moves with humidity swings, to some extent. After a year or so, it was out so bad, I had to scrap it. Maybe the bamboo will be a lot more stable.
BillyJack
I found three large pieces, only one that perfectly flat. i just scraped two box joint jigs because they had warped after 15 years, but I never used them anyway.
BonPacific
I'd be interested to see what you come up with. I've been putting off making replacement sleds for the current saw but it's becoming more and more annoying not to have them.
BillyJack
This will be my first adventure into this kind of jig. I’m not a big fan of using the table saw for everything, so I never invested in that direction. I’ve got a few things around the shop I believe I can use without buying anything and that’s what I like.
