Popular Post BillyJack
I used S&W SuperDeck finish on the Adirondack chair. I like the finish because I put it on thick, dried all night and wiped well before I put the pieces back on the chair and left no residue on my clothes after sitting in the chair, The problem I’m finding is the Sapele is a harder wood that cedar or treated and it doesn’t absorb much. So S&W suggested two coats , but I was afraid I would get residue. This is a chair , not a deck. So I feel the finis( won’t absorb and will require a top coat in the spring and fall and repeat the next spring. This chair takes a lot of direct sun.
BillyJack
After a few months I’ve noticed the finish faded. Sapele is harder and S&W recommended two coats , but I only did one heavy coat. I think before winte4 I will re apply a second coat, cover for winter and see how it holds.
Mark J
In the picture the porch swing back slats have two holes, but appear to have only one screw?

Already been yelled at by the wife. I had just enough screws to get it to that point. Reason haven’t installed the last two pieces. I was buying the green screws from a local hardware store and he stopped selling that brand.
BillyJack
While I was out at the hardware store I found another box of the green screws. I’ll try to complete it over the next few weeks..
