sapele steve
Hi Everyone: I am in the market for a Miter Saw & was wondering what others have purchased? I want a compound saw for general use & want to spend around $300 to $400. I don't need a laser assissted saw but if the saw came with it I'd buy it. I recently bought a Hitachi 12" saw listed on Amazon. However, although I liked it, there was a problem with the bevel lock in the back of the saw not working. In fact, I could not get the thing to move in order to unlock it. So, back it went to Amazon. Also, since my wood shop is very small I need this to be portable & not overly heavy. Anyway, any input will be much appreciated. Steve
petersb
This is what I have. I bought it for $100 on clearance at Lowes a couple of years ago. I think that it would have been about $270 if I have paid full price. I added a freud blade and a zero clearance auxillary fence and it cuts fantastic! http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B000BONM0A/187-4813099-5752516?SubscriptionId=1SXPND4449FFDSMM7M82
