I've been playing with the EZ Sharp Drill Press Sharpening System on a junky chisel that somebody gave me.  It seems to work well, but the edge is very slightly out of square to the side.  Seems to me that that shouldn't be an issue.  But what if it were a blade for a hand plane?

I should probably go back and make a new jig, and this time actually put some effort into accuracy.

I've convinced myself this isn't an issue worth spending a lot of time on. One a chisel, ones makes the adjustment by hand without really having to think about it (and a little skew can be helpful at times), and on a plane, you have the lateral adjustment.
