nikbrown
We recently got a new fence put in and it's a 4 board horse fence. I'm going to paint it with black Lexington FenceCoat. The gate the fence guys put in isn't doing it for me. I've been playing around in SketchUp and came up with the following: Not sure it's quite right. It seems a bit heavy looking to me compared to the fence... but I'm not quite sure what direction to take it from here. Or maybe I've just been staring at it to long. Beechwood Chip
Can you replace the dark panels with dark spindles or slats?
AlanWilley
I think it would look better with the top rail dished instead of arched. I also agree with Duckisser that it would look better without the panels.
nikbrown
Some good ideas here. I knew it looked to heavy one I put in the photo. I"ll jump back to tinkering a bit. Thanks!
runningwood
I agree, lose the panels altogether and either leave it open or put thinner material in the voids.
capnjack2
Maybe just open the panels a bit, like the back of the Adirondack Chair in the Guild Build. Check out the recent gallery images. Jack
