creoleblues
I'm designing a small clamping fixture that requires soft clamping surfaces. I would like to use the same material as the rubber pads found on the Irwin quick-grip clamps. Does anyone know what exactly this material is? I would like to find sheets of this material or at least look up the properties of it before cutting up some of the clamping pads.
duckkisser
the liquid rubber they use to coat tool handles can work if you want to paint them on the ends of you clamps. keeps the metal from biting into the wood as badly.
