ViolinMagick
When building audio speaker enclosures, we don't really care about the external measurements nearly as much as the internal volume of the box. Is there a way when modeling a box to have Sketchup automagically calculate the volume of space inside the box? Thanks, VM
areynoldsre
I think you'll have to get a sketchup plug in to do that. I don't think you can do that with just native skectup.
JCoulter
I did a quick googling and found one that seems to work cad-addict volume calculator You will have to group the internal geometry that you want to use. To use it go to your Sketchup folder find Plugins copy/move the plugin there. Start up sketchup. When you have a grouped item right click. At the bottom of the menu is volume. You have multiple units of measurement, feet, inches, cc (maybe Cubic Centimetres?), metres, yards, litres, cl, ml, gallons(US/UK), quarts(US), pints(US/UK). Hope it helps. Bob Lang
Make a box the same size as the interior and make it a Group or Component. Select that, then look at the Entity Info window. It displays the volume. Bob Lang
