NYHump
Hi All, After thinking about how to cut these little guys (1 3/16 x 1 3/16) I ended up making a little holding jig. Since I had to cut around 60 of these out of different woods It took about 1 hour with the scrape wood that I had. It worked perfectly, every piece was to size, and no danger in cutting. Oboy, any comments
petersb
Nice work! Ain't nuttin' like keeping you fangers on ya hand. I have a neighbor two houses down that chopped off his thumb a couple of years ago with a miter saw. He has done this kind of work most of his life and one would think that he would have been more careful. I was a little concerned when he needed to use a .22 rifle of mine to rid some aggressive 'coons off of his property. I hope that he has more sense of safety with a firearm than his tools. skibum729
Very clever jig. Gotta do whatever works. I'd be interested in what project your making that takes 60 of these little guys. Also, I like the smiley face in the first picture.
cts1085
Great idea - I wonder if it had a means to rid in a miter slot if you couldn't do the same thing on a table saw?

Tom, Yes, I'm sure it could have been made for the table saw but in my case I have the chop saw and it was better for me with more control over the cut.
