Using Exterior Polyurethane Indoors

Dear Friends,

I would like to know if there is a problem (health, looks, drying time, etc) using exterior polyurethane indoors? I want to apply polyurethane to a wood that will be indoors (bedroom) but in the sunset some sunlight enters the room washing part of the wood. I am concerned about partial discoloration because of that sunset sunlight.

Thanks.

Outdoor anything is formulated for outdoors. It's a softer finish that expands and contracts with wood during dry and wet, warm and cold conditions. I would recommend purchasing some blinds or something for the window or have UV glass installed may help to slow it down. :) The sun just fades things, wall paint, bed spreads, years and years of sun just does.

Outdoor finish "can" have a sort of a rubbery feel to it and dust and dirt and skin oils, the finish probably just get grungier over time.

That's just me.
