toneslinger
Like the title and description says. I got to go through a community rummage sale tonight. Folks were there sorting everything out and pricing things getting it ready. I came across a few wood clamps and got to take home a Record No. 7 Planer. Says, "Made in England" has a worn blue finish and hardwood handles. No rust, was sharp, and looks well taken care of. Never heard of it and was wondering if anybody knew anything about em. Dont have actual picture but this one looks identical. Cliff M.

At hand planing demos, and during my hand planing classes, I use a record #4 as my main plane - I cut full width shavings on the order of .001" thick, and then I also do a little one handed planing, which was made famous via a video from a world famous hand tool instructor... Just keep in mind, the plane is only half of the equation. Best, Gregory
