jimmykx250
My brother is looking for a ballpark number for a built in bunk bed for his basement. He has 15 foot in width and 7-6 ceiling height. Each bed is a standard twin 75" long mattress. Painted by others (installed by you) Below is a link for what he is looking for. He is in the process of re-designing his basement and I have advidsed him blocking may be required in some areas to mount to. Anyone interested please shoot me an e-mail. He lives in Hawthorn Woods northern illinois. http://augustfields.blogspot.com/2011/10/boys-bunk-room-update.html
TRBaker
I did a similar project, two beds only, and I charged somewhere around $5000. I'm way too far away to be interested in doing the job, but I thought you might be able to use the numbers. The only pictures I have of the project are while it is being installed, but it gives you an idea of what I did for that price.
wdwerker
You could put 2 beds on a 15 ft wall and still have room for a set of stairs in the middle like the ones Troy posted pictures of. That would leave the space below for either 2 more beds or desks and bookcases. If the beds are going to be painted then poplar is a good wood choice . I like how you notched the stringer around the battons as it went up. I wish I had time to do it for him.

drzaius
Hi Jason, welcome to the forums. This is a 4 year old thread & TRBaker hasn't visited since 2014, so you may not get an answer on this one.
