newmex999
Hello, I have a acacia wood table which I think is sealed with a polyurethane. There are some knots(holes) in the table that I would like to fill with a clear liquid of some type that will also harden clear. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks
..Kev
Clear epoxy will work but, if you're not super careful, you'll be refinishing the entire surface.
wtnhighlander
Tape off a good area around the knot to be filled. Pour in the epoxy, blow a little warm air on it to release any bubbles. When it hardens, carefully pare it as close to flush with the surface as possible, using a well-honed chisel. Sand and buff all you can before removing the tape, and you may be able to avoid a complete refinishing.
