Wood vs Metal screws for vises?

I'll be using wood.  I like the feel of them.  Two turns per inch is fine by me.  I just don't like the metal wheels.  There are a bunch of guys making the wooden screws now on cnc machines.  You can get any size you want made, although the Lake Eerie ones are just fine, and that's the size I'm going with.

Interesting.  It seems to cost about the same as the BC stuff if you compare same level of included things.

 

really leaning to BC.

 

anyway I go I also need to decided Crisscross,mAYS chain, or parallel guide?
