Alan Bienlein
I've been around woodworking all my life. My father was a cabinetmaker and I used to hang out in the shop and watch and help when I could. I was an Assistant superintendant for a construction company until I was laid off the first of the year. I am back into cabinet making for a living again running a cabinet shop. Right now we are in the middle of our kitchen remodel. I'm making the cabinets in my 24 x 24 shop my wife had bought and we built. The cabinets are made from 4/4 and 8/4 pecan I bought from a local saw mill. I'm doing a beaded face frame with an inset door and raised panels. I even resawed my own veneer for the first time on this project. I've done a little wood turning and have a vacum press to do veneering.
