Bobby Slack
I am building an entertainment center and now is time for the top. So far I followed my drawings but now ... wane created an opportunity and I wonder if this wane edge (not quite live) can present an interesting opportunity. Also ... I wonder how to clean this without killing the effect so the oil (Waterlox) can work nicely.
Eric.
I think you might have something there if it was consistent all the way across. But it's not. If it were my decision I'd be ripping it clean and profiling...maybe a bottom bevel. Nice looking case...gotta love the walnut.
Bobby Slack
I was going to rabbet the bottom part of the top and round the edges. The wane goes about half the length.
Jeremy Morgan
From those pictures the edge almost has a "hand hewn" look too it. I wonder if you could accentuate that look a bit and continue it across the rest of the edge.

I guess the safest thing to do is to repeat the edge detail I have on the rest of the piece.
