Does anyone have experience with these, or knows a better alternative for a Krenov style plane? Also I want to use this plane as a smoother, will it do the trick? Thanks It really is a very nice kit, I received one for Christmas last year. The only thing I would improve on is making the body a little more narrow, it's a bit to wide for the blade. I asked Ron if this was normal. He said they make they body pieces a little wider than the typical 1/16" or so, so those new to sharpening have enough room to adjust a blade that may be a bit out of square.
