JohnnyNoName
I saw a commercial for this new product today. It's called "Real Construction". It looks like they make the "wood" out of wax or something. Has anyone used this? It seems a little safer for my kids (3 and 5) rather then letting them cut real wood right now. billboard
I never heard of it but it looks interesting. We all need to chip in and buy Marc a set for Christmas.
Rapid Roger
Looks like something my grandkids might enjoy. I have 5 of them aged 2 through 11 years old. They enjoy being in the shop but, I worry all the while they are out here. Must rember this for a special day comming up in about 82 days. Lawrence Brown
Looks more like high-density foam than wax. I love all the safety info at the bottom of the page. Marc wouldn't use it because the tools aren't green.
Ethan
I wanna make a pirate ship. I wonder if they'll come out with different types like gaboon ebony or, padauk.
Lawrence Brown
And when can we get that in 4' x 8' sheets? But of course the biggest question is when is Marc going to do a finish test video on the stuff?
went_postal
Never used that... but if you are looking for something to use with the kiddos... Lowes has the Build and Grow stuff and it's free. Kids get an apron and safety goggles and get to hammer away at different sorts of projects. At the end of the project (about 30 minutes) the kids get a little patch to put on the apron. My daughter LOVES doing the projects. Never need anything more than a little hammer to do the projects. And now they are selling the older projects in the hardware isle at the store.
